According to Indian box office tracker Sacnilk, "Raayan" is expected to perform well at the box office. The film's advance booking for Day 1 shows impressive figures, with Tamil-language tickets leading at ₹21.6 million. The total all-India advance booking stands at ₹23.6 million (2.36 crore).

In February, Dhanush's brother Selvaraghavan clarified that he did not write "Raayan" but plays a significant role in the film. The movie boasts an impressive ensemble cast featuring Dhanush, S. J.
