Raayan Synopsis
In the 1990s, Kathavaraayan "Raayan" becomes the guardian of his younger siblings after their parents disappear, relocating them to North Chennai. Years later, Raayan runs a fast-food restaurant while his siblings confront their own struggles. A bar fight involving his brother Muthu, which leads to the death of a gangster's son, entangles Raayan and his family in a dangerous web of deceit, betrayal, and revenge orchestrated by a new police commissioner. The family must navigate this perilous situation to survive.
Raayan Cast and Crew
The film boasts a diverse cast led by Dhanush as Kathavaraayan "Raayan," with Rakul portraying the young Raayan. Prakash Raj plays Commissioner Sargunam, while S.J. Suryah stars as Sethuraman "Sethu." Selvaraghavan appears as Sekhar, Raayan's father figure, and Sundeep Kishan plays Muthuvelraayan "Muthu," Raayan's younger brother, with Avanish as young Muthu. Dushara Vijayan is cast as Durga, Raayan's younger sister, with Dharsikha portraying the young Durga. The full album was launched on July 6, 2024, at Sriram Engineering College in Chennai. Directed and written by Dhanush, the film was produced by Kalanithi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner. Cinematography was handled by Om Prakash, and editing was managed by Prasanna GK.
