Raayan Tamil Nadu Advance Booking Day 1 Update: Dhanush's eagerly awaited second directorial, "Raayan," is set to premiere in theatres tomorrow. The film boasts a stellar cast, featuring Kalidas Jayaram, Sundeep Kishan, and S.J. Suryah in key roles.

According to film industry tracker AB George, "Raayan" is set to achieve a remarkable opening in Tamil Nadu, with advance sales hitting ₹3.8 crores just one day before its release. This positions "Raayan" as the biggest opening for a Dhanush film, surpassing the previous record held by "Karnan."

According to box office tracker Box Office Tamil, the film is now eyeing a double-digit opening day gross in Tamil Nadu, having already exceeded the opening day collections of "Ayalaan" and "Lal Salaam." Currently, the top Day 1 grossers in Tamil Nadu for 2024 are led by "Indian2" with ₹13.3 crores, followed by "Captain Miller" at ₹6.30 crores and "Kalki 2898 AD" at ₹5.5 crores. "Raayan" stands strong in the eighth position, ahead of "Lal Salaam" and "Ayalaan."

Initially planned for a theatrical release on June 13, 2024, "Raayan" faced an undisclosed delay. The film is now set to debut globally on July 26, aligning with the week of Dhanush's birthday.

Raayan Premise

Raayan, an ordinary young man, sets out on a mission to avenge his family's death, delving into the perilous world of an organised crime syndicate to find the culprits.

"Raayan" is Dhanush's second directorial project, following his 2017 film "Pa Paandi." In February, Dhanush's brother Selvaraghavan clarified that he did not write "Raayan" but plays a significant role in the film. The movie features a notable ensemble cast, including Dhanush, S. J. Suryah, Sundeep Kishan, Kalidas Jayaram, and Selvaraghavan, with additional star power from Prakash Raj, Dushara Vijayan, Aparna Balamurali, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and Saravanan. This impressive cast is expected to deliver powerful performances, enhancing the film's appeal and generating high anticipation.

The film's music is composed by A. R. Rahman, with cinematography by Om Prakash and editing by Prasanna GK.

Dhanush's most recent release was "Captain Miller" in 2023. He is also set to star in the multilingual project "Kubera," directed by Sekhar Kammula, alongside Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna, and Jim Sarbh.
