Raayan 2-Day Worldwide Box Office Collection

According to film industry tracker Box Office Tamil, "Raayan" has made an impressive impact at the box office, grossing over ₹48 crores worldwide in just two days. The film has garnered ₹33.13 crores in India and ₹15.5 crores (approximately $1.85 million) from overseas markets, bringing the total to ₹48.63 crores. This strong performance underscores the movie's popularity and wide-reaching appeal.

Raayan Premise

Raayan, an ordinary young man, sets out on a mission to avenge his family's death by infiltrating the perilous world of an organised crime syndicate to hunt down those responsible.

Raayan Cast and Crew

"Raayan" marks Dhanush's second directorial venture, following his 2017 project "Pa Paandi." Although Dhanush's brother Selvaraghavan did not write the script for "Raayan," he revealed in February that he plays a significant role in the film. The cast features Dhanush as Raayan "Raaya," along with S.J. Suryah, Prakash Raj, Sundeep Kishan as Raayan's brother, Kalidas Jayaram as another brother, Dushara Vijayan as Raayan's sister, and Selvaraghavan. The film also includes notable performances from Imman Annachi, Aparna Balamurali, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Saravanan, Aranthangi Nisha, Anikha Surendran, and Ramachandran Durairaj. This exceptional ensemble is expected to deliver compelling performances, heightening anticipation for the movie.

The film's music was composed by A. R. Rahman. The first single, "Adangaatha Asuran," debuted on May 9, 2024, followed by the second single, "Water Packet," on May 24, and the third single, "Raayan Rumble," on July 5. The audio launch, presenting the full album, took place on July 6, 2024, at Sriram Engineering College in Chennai.

Dhanush wrote and directed the film, which was produced by Kalanithi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner. The cinematography was by Om Prakash, and Prasanna GK handled the editing.

Dhanush's previous release was "Captain Miller" in 2023, and he is also set to appear in the multilingual film "Kubera," directed by Sekhar Kammula, alongside Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna, and Jim Sarbh. With "Raayan," Dhanush continues to expand his horizons as both an actor and director.
