Vishal's Remarks Over Sexual Harassment In Tamil Film Industry: Yesterday, actor Vishal, who also serves as the General Secretary of the Nadigar Sangam (Tamil Film Actors' Association), marked his 47th birthday. In a press interaction held on this occasion, Vishal addressed various pressing issues, including the ongoing concerns surrounding sexual harassment in the film industry. His comments, however, have sparked significant controversy and debate.

When questioned about the sexual harassment allegations that emerged following the release of the Hema Committee report on the Malayalam film industry, Vishal made strong statements. He emphasized the importance of women standing up against such abuses and took a tough stance against those who make inappropriate demands, suggesting that such individuals deserve a physical rebuke.

Vishal's remarks were notably blunt. He asserted, "Anyone who approaches for 'adjustments' should be beaten with chappal. Women need to have the courage to stand up against such abuse and respond forcefully. As for the Tamil film industry, it cannot be said that the issue of inappropriate 'adjustment' requests has not existed. There have been numerous complaints about this issue for a long time."

Despite his firm stance, Vishal acknowledged that there have been no recent complaints about such adjustments. To address grievances, he announced plans to form a special committee of ten people to investigate any complaints related to harassment, promising that a report will be released soon. His proactive approach was met with substantial attention and support from various quarters.

Vishal's comments have not gone without criticism. Controversial actress Sri Reddy took to Twitter to express her discontent with Vishal's statements. In a pointed post, she accused Vishal of being abusive towards women and criticized his use of derogatory language. She wrote, "Hi Mr. Womanizer & white-haired very old uncle, when you are talking about a woman, I think your tongue should be very careful in front of the media."

Sri Reddy continued, "The way you use filthy language about a lady, the way you create problems for good people, everyone knows. You are an all-time fraud. The world knows you are a huge fraud. Don't think that you are a respectable person any more after showing so many examples in front of the media. You have already proven many times that you are a lunatic."

She further questioned why every woman in Vishal's life has left him and why his engagement was canceled. Sri Reddy concluded her post by asserting that Vishal's position in any organization is irrelevant and warned him that "karma" is already at work. She even offered him a collection of chappals, indicating her readiness to confront him directly.
