Tamil Nadu State Film Awards 2015: The Tamil Nadu government has unveiled the State Film Awards for 2015, alongside honors for students from the Tamil Nadu Government MGR Film and Television Institute. Scheduled for Wednesday, March 6, 2024, the award ceremony will take place at TN Rajarathinam Kalai Arangam, with awards presented by the Minister for Information and Publicity, Mr. MP Saminathan.

Initiated in 1967 and halted after 2008, the awards were reinstated in 2017, recognizing films released between 2009 and 2014. At the forthcoming ceremony, "Thani Oruvan" will be honored with the top prize in the Best Film Category, with Madhavan and Jyotika securing the Best Actor and Best Actress awards for their roles in "Irudhi Suttru" and "36 Vayathinile," respectively. Aravind Swamy, acclaimed for his performance in "Thani Oruvan," will be recognized as the Best Villain, while Sudha Kongara will receive the Best Director award for "Irudhi Suttru."
