Vaazhai Synopsis

In "Vaazhai," a twelve-year-old boy named Sivanandhan, along with his mother, sister, and friend, navigates life's challenges, with a plantain tree (Vaazhai) being central to their journey.

The production of "Vaazhai" began in November 2022 and is Mari Selvaraj's fourth feature film, following "Paraiyerum Perumal," "Karnan," and "Maamannan." This film marks Selvaraj's third collaboration with cinematographer Theni Eswar, who also worked on "Karnan" and "Maamannan." Additionally, it is Nikhila Vimal's first project with Mari Selvaraj. Filming was carried out extensively across Tamil Nadu, including locations such as Thoothukudi and Tirunelveli.
