Vaazhai Synopsis
In "Vaazhai," a twelve-year-old boy named Sivanandhan, along with his mother, sister, and friend, navigates various life challenges, with a plantain tree (Vaazhai) being central to their story.
Production of "Vaazhai" began in November 2022, making it Mari Selvaraj's fourth feature film following "Paraiyerum Perumal," "Karnan," and "Maamannan." This film marks Selvaraj's third collaboration with cinematographer Theni Eswar, who also worked on "Karnan" and "Maamannan," and Nikhila Vimal's debut project with Selvaraj. Filming occurred across Tamil Nadu, including Thoothukudi and Tirunelveli.

Directed by Mari Selvaraj, "Vaazhai" is a children's film starring Ponvel M. and Raghul R. in the lead roles, supported by Kalaiyarasan, Nikhila Vimal, J. The film is produced by Sajith Sivanandan, Divya, Mari Selvaraj, and Dhilip Subbarayan under Navvi Studios, Disney+ Hotstar, and Farmer's Master Plan Production.
