Vettaiyan Release Date Announced: Superstar Rajinikanth As Supercop To Clash With Suriya's Kanguva

Vettaiyan Release Date: "Vettaiyan," a highly anticipated Tamil action drama, promises to engage audiences with its stellar cast and gripping storyline. Directed and written by T. J. Gnanavel, the film is produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under the Lyca Productions banner. Superstar Rajinikanth takes on the lead role, with Amitabh Bachchan making his Tamil debut. The ensemble cast also includes Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Jisshu Sengupta, Ritika Singh, and Dushara Vijayan.

Initially announced in March 2023 with the working title 'Thalaivar 170' to signify Rajinikanth's 170th film as a lead actor, the movie's official title was unveiled in December 2023. Principal photography commenced in October 2023 and was shot in various locations, including Thiruvananthapuram, Tirunelveli, Chennai, Mumbai, and Hyderabad.

Lyca Productions has now officially announced that their much-anticipated film Vettaiyan will hit theaters worldwide on October 10, 2024. The production company took to the X platform to declare, "Target locked 🎯 VETTAIYAN 🕶️ is set to hunt in cinemas worldwide from OCTOBER 10th, 2024! 🗓️ Superstar 🌟 as Supercop! 🦅 Releasing in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi & Kannada!" This announcement confirms a major box office showdown, as Vettaiyan will clash with the release of Suriya's highly anticipated fantasy action film Kanguva, which is also scheduled for the same date.
