Vettaiyan Update: In recent updates on the much-anticipated film "Vettaiyan," Rajinikanth, the Superstar himself, shared insights on the film's progress. Speaking to the media while leaving the airport, Rajinikanth mentioned that the release date for "Vettaiyan" has not yet been finalised but assured that the dubbing work is proceeding smoothly. He also took the opportunity to share his thoughts on "Indian 2," stating that he has watched the film and found it to be quite good.

Previously, the film's creators released images from Fahadh Faasil's dubbing session, indicating progress in production. Fans are eagerly anticipating additional updates, such as the completion of post-production and the announcement of the film's release date, which has only increased excitement for this highly anticipated cinematic project.

Directed by T. J. Gnanavel and produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under Lyca Productions, "Vettaiyan" stars Rajinikanth in the lead role. The film boasts a stellar cast, including Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, and Dushara Vijayan.

Principal photography for the film commenced in October 2023 under the working title Thalaivar 170, commemorating Rajinikanth's 170th lead role. The official title, Vettaiyan, was unveiled in December 2023. The film was shot intermittently across multiple locations, including Thiruvananthapuram, Tirunelveli, Chennai, Mumbai, and Hyderabad. The music was composed by Anirudh Ravichander, the cinematography was managed by S. R. Kathir, and the editing was handled by Philomin Raj.
