Vidaamuyarchi Release Date Pushed Back? "Vidaamuyarchi" is an eagerly awaited Tamil survival action film directed by Magizh Thirumeni. Produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under the Lyca Productions banner, the film stars the acclaimed Ajith Kumar in a leading role. The impressive cast also features notable actors Arjun Sarja, Trisha Krishnan, Regina Cassandra, Arav, and Nikhil Siddhartha, ensuring a dynamic and captivating performance.

Vidaamuyarchi is scheduled for a worldwide release on October 31, 2024, coinciding with the Diwali celebrations. However, there is speculation that this date might be pushed back. The uncertainty arises from the recent announcement of Rajinikanth's Vettaiyan, which is now set to release on October 10. Additionally, Sivakarthikeyan's Amaran is also slated for release on October 31. Red Giant Movies, which is distributing all three films in Tamil Nadu, may influence the final release schedule. According to film industry tracker Friday Matinee, Vidaamuyarchi is now expected to release in November.

Earlier, "Vidaamuyarchi" was titled AK62, marking Ajith's 62nd film. The movie was initially planned to be directed by Vignesh Shivan. However, the project later saw Magizh Thirumeni take over as director. The official announcement of the film's title and Thirumeni's directorial role was made in May 2023. Principal photography commenced in October 2023, with Azerbaijan chosen as the main filming location. The film features music by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Om Prakash, and editing by N. B. Srikanth.
