Weapon OTT Release Date and Platform: "Weapon" is a high-octane Tamil thriller written and directed by Guhan Senniappan and produced by M. S. Manzoor under Million Studio. The film boasts a stellar cast, with Sathyaraj and Vasanth Ravi in the lead roles, supported by Rajiv Menon, Tanya Hope, AK Mydeen, and Rajeev Pillai. "Weapon" premiered in theatres on June 7, 2024.

The movie "Weapon" is set to premiere on OTT. Aha Tamil will start streaming the film from July 26. Additionally, it has been reported that the Telugu version of "Weapon" will also be available on the Aha platform. However, the Telugu version is expected to reach the OTT audience in the first week of August.

The movie was officially announced in October 2022, along with its title. Principal photography commenced in November 2022, primarily in Chennai, and concluded by late September 2023. The music was composed by Ghibran, with Prabhu Raghav handling the cinematography and Gopi Krishnan serving as the editor.

After the release of "Vella Raja" in 2018, Guhan Senniappan wrote a script intended for a grand cinematic production, marking his fourth directorial effort. However, due to extensive CGI requirements, he began working on a different script. On October 2, 2022, Senniappan announced his collaboration with Sathyaraj and Vasanth Ravi for this new script, titled "Weapon," an action thriller. He remarked, "When I wrote the script, I could only visualise Sathyaraj sir and Vasanth Ravi in those characters," with filming set to start the following month. On the same day, music composer Ghibran, cinematographer Prabhu Raghav, editor Nash, and art director Subendar were confirmed as part of the technical team. In July 2023, Senniappan disclosed the use of artificial intelligence for a segment featuring a younger version of Sathyaraj.
