Ippadai Vellum Review
Udhayanidhi Stalin is improving as a performer, and he has delivered a decent performance with his share of subtleness.
The director can be appreciated for not placing any songs as a speed breaker.
Verdict: Ippadai Vellum is watchable in-spite of few logic issues!
The first half moves smoothly but post interval the film offers little by way of freshness or originality, instead piling up the clichés and reinforcing lazy stereotypes.
Overall, Ippadai Vellum, in many ways feels half-baked and wanting.
Ippadai Vellum is entertaining to an extent as Gaurav manages to balance the seriousness of the plot with the comedy that arises out of mistaken identity.
Up until the interval point, the director seems to be in command, introducing his characters in swift strokes and setting up the conflict.
The first half after a rather slow paced buildup gets to the business soon enough and races to the interval block when Uday and Soori get caught in a predicament.
Verdict : Go for this racy thriller that is engaging as well as entertaining in parts.
