Meyaadha Maan Review
Despite a routine story, what really works for 'Meyaadha Maaan' is the realistic writing and good performances of its lead actors. Vaibhav his given his career best in Meyaadha Maan, his body language, dialogue delivery, expressions, and mannerisms are top notch.
Overall, Meyaadha Maan is a well-written rom-com that works because of the brilliant performance of the lead actors.
Meyaadha Maan calls itself a musical, and fair enough considering that its music is what elevates it from being your regular romance. Even something as small as the ringtone of the lead character, Idhayam Murali — Sangeetha Megam — adds flavour.
Meyaadha Maan, at its heart, is the simple story of Idhayam Murali’s one-sided love for Madhumitha (Priya Bhavani Shankar) and how he constantly expresses the urge to die as he’s unable to profess his love to her.
Unlike the normal rom-com, Vinod and Sudarvizhi’s stories do not get lost in narrating about Murali and Madhu and they are brilliant. In a hero-worship world, it is encouraging to see supporting roles with potential and actors making the best of it.
Even the not-so-involved friend gets a decent character graph. The young shop assistant is a riot. The camaraderie among these characters is authentic, that makes Meyaadha Maan a delightful watch.
