Navarasa

Navarasa is a Tamil anthology movie, directed by  Arvind Swami, Bejoy Nambiar, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Halitha Shameem, Priyadarshan, Karthick Naren, Karthik Subbaraj, Vasanth, and Rathindran R. Prasad. Navarasa created Maniratnam, who also collaborated with Jayendra Panchapakesan to produce the series through their respective banners Madras Talkies and Qube Cinema Technologies. Plot Line The nine episodes represent a different emotion or rasa such as anger, compassion, courage, disgust, fear, laughter, love, peace, and wonder. 1. Rowthiram (Anger) This segment of Navarasa is Rowthiram which is helmed by Aravind Swami. The star cast includes Rythvika, Sreeram, Abhinayasree, Ramesh Thilak, and Geetha Kailasam. 2. Edhiri (Compassion) Second segment of Navarasa is Edhiri which is helmed by Bejoy Nambiar. The star cast includes Vijay Sethupathi, Prakashraj, Revathi, and Ashok Selvan.  3. Thunindha Pinn (Courage) This segment of Navarasa is Thunindha Pinn which is helmed by Sarjun KM. The star cast includes Atharvaa, Anjali, and Kishore. 4. Payasam (Disgust) This segment of Navarasa is Payasam which is helmed by Vasanth. The star cast includes Delhi Ganesh, Rohini, and Aditi Balan. 5. Inmai (Fear) This segment of Navarasa is Inmai which is helmed by Rathindran R. Prasad. The star cast includes Siddharth and Parvathy Thiruvothu. 6. Summer of '92 (Laughter) This segment of Navarasa is Summer of '92 which is helmed by Priyadarshan. The star cast includes Yogi Babu, Remya Nambeesan, Nedumudi Venu, and Manikuttan. 7. Guitar Kambi Mele Nindru (Love) Seventh segment of Navarasa is titled Guitar Kambi Mele Nindru which is helmed by Gautham Menon. The star cast includes Suriya and Prayaga Martin. 8. Peace (Peace) This segment of Navarasa is titled Peace which is helmed by Karthik Subbaraj. The star cast includes Atharvaa, Anjali, and Kishore. 9. Project Agni (Wonder) This segment of Navarasa is titled Project Agni which is helmed by Karthick Naren. The star cast includes Vikki, Bobby Simha, and Sananth. Release This movie is was produced by Mani Ratnam and Jayendra jointly worked on fundraising activities for social causes, and during COVID-19 pandemic. They decided to work on a project based on Indian aesthetics and human emotions, which looked like an opportunity to generate enough funds to help the daily-wage workers. A trailer video anthology movie Navarasa was directed and edited by Bharat Bala and to be released on 9 July 2021. And the movie is likely to release in August 2021.
