Mystery thrillers often rely on its unpredictability to keep the viewers at the edge of their seats. Often filmmakers tend to get so involved with the way they tell their stories that they lose track of the big picture.
Samantha owns her character and is convincing as the scared, young journalist. Aadi too impresses as the soft police officer, while Rahul Ravindran doesn’t get much scope to shine.
U-Turn has a crispy run time of just over 2 hours and manages to keep you fairly engaged. However, the director seems to be in a rush to end the film, and it takes a lot of tropes that you may see in a usual thriller.
