Cheran with Gopika again?

It looks like director-actor Cheran will be roped in for Karu Planiappan's next venture with producer "Rockline" Venkatesh. Shooting for this film is scheduled to start on Januray 15, 2007 and most of the cast and crew have been decided... except for the heroine. Cheran may just end up acting opposite Gopika, the leading lady from his earlier smash hit Autograph. Karu Palaniappan has not yet decided between Gopika and lovely Meera Jasmine, so we will have to wait and see who will end up with this role.

The music for this film wiil be by Vidyasagar and the shooting with commence the day Cheran's next film, Maya Kannadi releases - January 15, 2007. Karu Palaniappan and Cheran both shy away from making or acting in frivolous cinema and try to offer films which are very watchable and still manage to touch on socially important topics. Even Maya Kannadi will surely have the Cheran trademark and focuses on issues in urban societies.
