Murasoli award for Manorama

Actress Manorama, writer Jayakanthan and Silamboli Chellappan have been chosen by Murasoli for awards.

From 1996, the Murasoli Trust has been choosing people from the field of Tamil language, literature and art to honor for their contribution to their field. The awards for this year goes to actress Manorama, writer Jayakanthan and Silamboli Chellappan.

Among the awards is the Kalaignar Award that carries a prize of Rs.1 lakh. The function will take place next month on Jan 23rd under the leadership of DMK general secretary/minister Anbazhagan.

Chief Minister Karunanidhi will participate and confer the awards.
