<i>Shivaji</i> paced at Rajni's request

Director Shankar has finally decided to hurry up with the shooting of the mega-budget film Shivaji at Rajinikanth's request.

Shooting of Shivaji had been on for a long time. For almost two years now, the film had been making news for one reason or the other. All the leading stars, including Rajinikanth, were bound by the exclusivity clause. Rajinikanth is known to make frequent spiritual trips to the Himalayas. And, it had been a while since he made the trip.

So, it is rumored that he made a special request to director Shankar to complete the film's shooting soon so he could make his trip. The director has fastened the shooting pace.

Some of the segments were shot in Pune, which is now reeling under cold weathers. Rajinikanth surprised the unit members by presenting them with very expensive sweaters and woolen wear.

Nice gesture.
