Director
Ameer
is
all
set
to
make
debut
as
hero
in
a
film
titled
Yogi
under
director
Subramaniam
Shiva.
It
is
a
remake
of
Malayalam
hit
Big
B
starring
Mammootty.
The
hot
news
is
that
Ameer
has
chosen
Trisha
as
his
heroine.
After
the
stupendous
success
of
Paruthi
Veeran,
director
Ameer
took
enough
time
to
give
perfect
shape
to
his
next
script
Kannabiran,
which
has
Jayam
Ravi
in
the
lead
role.
But
before
starting
this
film,
Ameer
has
decided
to
make
debut
as
hero
in
Kollywood
through
Yogi.
He
has
appointed
Subramaniam
Shiva,
the
maker
of
Thiruda
Thirudi
and
Pori
as
the
director
for
this
project.
It
seems
he
believes
that
this
film
will
him
a
good
start
as
an
actor.
He
is
also
producing
it
under
his
own
Team
Work
Productions
(P)
ltd
banner.
It
is
said
that
Ameer
had
already
approached
Trisha
for
this
role.
Sources
said
that
the
actress
has
accepted
to
play
the
role
of
Ameer's
ladylove.
It
may
be
recalled
that
Ameer
shot
the
actress
into
limelight
through
his
directorial
film
Mounam
Pesiyathey.
The
other
cast
and
crew
of
the
film
are
yet
to
be
finalized.
