Asin blames media for character assassination

Very recently Mohan Natarajan of Sri Rajakaliyamman Enterprises, the producer of the Surya – Asin starrer Vel praised Asin for her commitment and perfection in the profession. But soon after this, the actress showed her true colours to the red faced unit of Vel. Hari, director of Vel said: "Yes, we are waiting for the dates of Asin to complete the remaining portions of the film. Actually we let go of the planned dates her dates of shooting and allowed her to complete the Hindi remake Ghajini with Aamir Khan. The hero (Aamir) of the film also requested us to wait for some time to get her dates. There was nothing else we could do."

Because of this, Vel will be completed 3 weeks late. Despite this, the director is keen on releasing the film during Diwali. Meanwhile, Asin has been reacted to gossip published in online and print media that she has demanded a whooping Rs.1.5 to 2 crores as salary for her forthcoming projects. Asin told this correspondent, "I don't understand the real motive behind this gossip. It is absolutely false and ridiculous. I know my limits and highs. My producers and directors know well about my salary and how I'm dealing with the matters. There is no need for discuss my salary with the media…"

The actress also clarified that she had already got the permission of the producer and director of Vel before she allotted her dates for the shooting of Ghajini. "Many a time, I had seen such irresponsible reports in most of the media. Media should help bring out good cinema. But most of the media in our country only contributes to character assassination!" Cool baby!!
