Finally Appachan has agreed to give a sum to the owner of Azhagiya Tamil Magan story. Mohammad Farookh, a film producer has filed a case against the film Azhagiya Tamil Magan, alleging that the story of the film is owned by his production house.

Farookh has claimed that the producer of ATM, Appachan has agreed to pay a sum of Rs.7.5 lakhs for the story after Tamil Film Producer's council's intervention. He alleged that Appachan has only paid Rs. One lakh and refused to pay the balance amount and is trying to release the film with out paying him the dues.

The case came up before the bench comprising Chief Justice A. B. Shah and Justice Jyothimani. After an assurance from producer Appachan to pay the remaining to Farookh, the Judges postponed the hearing till Wednesday, and a final verdict is expected then.

ATM stars Vijay and Shreya in the lead roles and A.R.Rahman has scored the music. Bharathan, an assistant of Dharani, is directing the film.

It might be recalled that a few weeks ago Oneindia.in had revealed in its news item that the story of ATM is not an original creation but a copy of the Hollywood movie 'If'!!
