Magan
story.
Mohammad
Farookh,
a
film
producer
has
filed
a
case
against
the
film
Azhagiya
Tamil
Magan,
alleging
that
the
story
of
the
film
is
owned
by
his
production
house.
Farookh
has
claimed
that
the
producer
of
ATM,
Appachan
has
agreed
to
pay
a
sum
of
Rs.7.5
lakhs
for
the
story
after
Tamil
Film
Producer's
council's
intervention.
He
alleged
that
Appachan
has
only
paid
Rs.
One
lakh
and
refused
to
pay
the
balance
amount
and
is
trying
to
release
the
film
with
out
paying
him
the
dues.
The
case
came
up
before
the
bench
comprising
Chief
Justice
A.
B.
Shah
and
Justice
Jyothimani.
After
an
assurance
from
producer
Appachan
to
pay
the
remaining
to
Farookh,
the
Judges
postponed
the
hearing
till
Wednesday,
and
a
final
verdict
is
expected
then.
ATM
stars
Vijay
and
Shreya
in
the
lead
roles
and
A.R.Rahman
has
scored
the
music.
Bharathan,
an
assistant
of
Dharani,
is
directing
the
film.
It
might
be
recalled
that
a
few
weeks
ago
Oneindia.in
had
revealed
in
its
news
item
that
the
story
of
ATM
is
not
an
original
creation
but
a
copy
of
the
Hollywood
movie
