Taking strong exception to the government permitting fans show for superstar Rajinikanth's latest film Shivaji-The Boss here, the Communist Party of India (CPI) State Secretary Na Ra Kalainathan today announced that the party would resort to agitations if the Government permit such shows in future.

Talking to media persons here, he alleged that contrary to Chief Minister N Rangasamy's announcement that fans show would not be permitted in the Union Territory on the floor of the House, he had granted permission to conduct the show for Shivaji and also released the first ticket here. "The Chief Minister's act proved that he is unworthy of his post," he added.

Mr Kalainathan said, "The municipality will lose its revenue from entertainment tax if fan shows are permitted and Rs.1000 per ticket is charged for a show. People are being allegedly plundered". He charged that the act of the government is encouraging anti-social elements.
