Kamal Hassan released Dev Anand's autobiography

Kamal Hassan released the autobiography of the evergreen romantic hero of Bollywood Dev Anand, 'Romancing with Life' in Chennai on Friday in the ballroom of Taj Connemara Hotel. A few days back, Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh had released the book in the capital. As the actor decided to release the book in various cities of the country, Kamal fit in perfectly to release the book in the south. The book also will be released next week in Germany, Sweden, UK and the US.

Recalling his memories of close association with late legend Shivaji Ganeshan and former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, the actor says, "Those were really golden days…!" He also mentioned his friendship with the legends of Tamil Cinema MGR and Shivaji Ganeshan in his autobiography.

The actor says further, "My book 'Romancing with Life' is a tribute to humanity and human values. The book is a life story about my life and times. At the same time it tells the story of my nation and the fight for independence. Yes… it is a colourful and soulful life of an artist..."

After release the book, Kamal says, "Today I have an important shooting schedule for Dasavatharam. But it is for Dev Saheb I had cancelled all my programmes and attend the function. I have that much of regard for Dev Saheb." Samajwadi Party leaders Amar Singh and Jayapradha were present at the release.
