The
Tamil
film
stars
are
angry
with
South
Indian
Artists
Association
(Nadigar
Sangam)
and
it's
President
Sarath
Kumar,
for
making
it
compulsory
to
give
five
percent
of
their
salary
to
the
association!
A
few
days
ago,
the
Tamil
films
producer's
council
and
Nadigar
Sangam
made
it
clear
to
the
film
stars
that
five
percent
of
their
salary
should
be
given
to
the
Sangam.
Moreover,
it
will
be
cut
from
the
advance
amount
given
to
the
artists
at
the
time
of
signing
the
contract.
The
problem
is,
sometimes
the
producers
never
pay
the
full
amount
to
the
artists
due
to
flops
and
other
financial
crisis.
In
such
a
situation,
the
artist
will
have
incurred
a
huge
loss
due
to
this
5
percent
fee
cut.
The
producers
council
has
announced
that
the
terms
of
agreement
have
come
into
effect
from
August
15th.
Many
small
actors
feel
that
the
agreement
will
affect
them
severely
due
to
their
meagre
salary.
At
the
same
time,
the
agreement
clearly
tells
that
it
will
never
allow
any
non
member
to
act
in
any
kind
of
films
in
the
industry.
Meanwhile,
an
informal
meeting
was
convened
by
a
few
stars
who
are
opposed
to
the
agreement
at
a
star
hotel
on
Sunday.
Most
of
them
blasted
the
President
of
the
Sangam
for
his
'half
baked'
decision.
One
of
the
actors
said
that
the
so
called
Sangam
has
no
rights
to
grab
their
earnings
and
if
need
be,
they
will
approach
the
court
to
curb
the
Sangam's
biased
decision.
After
coming
to
know
about
this
meeting
and
the
feelings
of
its
participants,
Sarath
Kumar
has
decided
to
sort
out
the
issues
amicably.
It
is
being
said
that
he
will
arrange
for
a
meeting
soon
to
discuss
the
issue
with
the
film
stars.
