Right from the film 16 Vayathiniley to Nadodi Thendral, one cannot forget the soothing, lilting tunes of Ilayaraaja. He gives a new meaning to Bharathiraaja's creativity. Both the legends are hailed as the true identity of Tamil Cinema.
Those were the golden days for Tamil viewers as well as for the industry. But after Nadodi Thendral, everything has changed. The duo got separated due to some misunderstanding. After that both traveled on different tracks. But the true loss has been for the viewers. Bharathi Raaja almost lost his rhythm due to this separation. His only hit film after parting ways with Ilayaraaja has been Kizhakku Seemaiyile. After that, he gave 8 flop movies continuously. Many times he has realised this fact and openly acknowledged the same when on stage. But Ilayaraaja always maintained a silence on this issue.
Now there is good news for the ardent fans of both the Rajas. Ilayaraaja has openly accepted the offer to score the music for Bharathi Raaja's dream project Kutra Parambarai which will hit the floor soon.Recently, he disclosed this in a function at Naaratha Gana Sabha and later confirmed it in an interview to a magazine.
Asking Bharathiraaja about Illayaraaja's decision, he replied, 'yes... there was a mis understanding between me and him once. That was the reason for our professional separation. But I never allowed this to happen in our friendship, and it will last till death separates us. I'm always realized the losses I have suffered due to our separation. But now I'm the happiest man to hear about the acceptance from Raaja. Kutra Parambarai is not only a film; it will be an important document in the history of Tamil Cinema. Raaja's music will be given a new meaning to this project...' -Bharathi Raaja replied. But he refused to comment on anything regarding the inclusion of Vairamuthu in the team.
