Jayam Ravi's next film after Dham Dhoom will be directed by SP Jananathan. The actor will have five heroines in the film – something that is a first time for his career. The director SP Jananathan said that the film would be a social one neither would it be a period one. To describe his attempt at the film, he said, “It will be a different kind of Cinema – something that has never been seen before.”
SP Jananathan wrote the story for Kamal Hassan but wasn’t able to get the actor to play the part. The next best actor he had in mind was Jayam Ravi. The film, which is untitled yet, will be an Ayngaran Films International production. Jananathan is known to be one to shoot his films in excellent places. He shot Iyarkai in the port and lighthouse of Andaman. E portrayed how a Chennai slum really was like.
The director said that he intends to shoot this film in a heavy forested region. The director made a few visits to various regions in Madhya Pradesh and his cameraman NK Ekambaram. The director is nor in the process of casting the five heroines.
