It
is
a
scene
worthy
of
jealousy
for
every
youth
to
watch
a
man
sitting
closely
between
5
seductive
queens
of
Tamil
cinema.
The
lucky
man
is
none
other
than
Jeevan,
hero
of
Naan
Avanillai.
The
glamour
queens
who
appeared
in
sneak
costumes
were
Nameetha,
Maalavika,
Keerthi
Chawla,
Sneha
and
Jyothirmayi.
The
recently
married
Malavika,
in
particular,
appeared
in
a
seductive
dress.
It
was
short
enough
to
be
called
her
'birthday
suit'.
Keerthi
Chawla
came
in
a
sexy
two-
piece
dress,
straight
from
the
sets
of
the
film.
She
used
a
shawl
to
cover
her
more
private
parts..
And
it
was
Namitha
who
disappointed
all,
appearing
in
a
'fully
covered'
dress!
There
were
fisticuffs
between
photographers
trying
to
capture
such
a
'rare'
moment
within
their
frames.
It
was
not
for
a
fashion
parade
or
a
promo
ad,
but
for
a
press
meet
to
brief
about
the
progress
of
the
remake
film
of
K.Balachander,
which
got
released
in
1970s.
Selva, the Director of the film told, 'I think this is for the very first time that 5 top heroines have appeared together at press meet for a film. This is not just aimed for the promotion of the film. Actually, all of these heroines play vital roles in the movie. That is the reason for their assembling here. Many people initially thought that there will be some difficulty while shooting for the film with 5 heroines. But it is not true. I feel very comfortable with all these 5 girls. Since all of them are leaders in their field, many expect that there might be ego clashes between them. But fortunately no such things has happened, and in fact all are working together like friends.
Many people already know that this film is a remake of Naan Avanillai, directed by the legend K.B. Jeevan acts in the role of Gemini Ganesan. There are 5 heroines acting as his pairs, just as in the original version. Lakshmi, the heroine of old version, is also acting in this film, but in a judge's role. It is Sneha, who is acting in the role of Lakshmi in the old version. Malavika and Nameetha fit in very nicely in the roles of B.R.Varalakshmi and Raja Sulochana respectively.
Jyothirmayi is acting in Jayabharathi's character, and Keerthi Chawla in in the role of Jayasudha. Though the film is a remake of an original one, I have made some changes to meet the needs of the present viewers. One can feel the difference in the climax of this film compared to its original version....' says Selva. A reporter asked which actress has been paid the highest among the 5. The director replied diplomatically, asking the reporter to get the details from the producer Jabak.
