Finally Jeevan has found the secret of success. He came to the conclusion after his previous film Thiruttu Payale became a hit, that people-particularly lady viewers are more interested in watching a rough and negative character on screen.

'I don't know the reason. The present viewer's mentality is like that. In real life too, if one has always been a goody-goody guy, he is simply commented upon as a 'saambar'. Doing negative things in an unlawful ways is considered as heroic by the present youngsters. That is reason behind the success of Billa or Thiruttu Payale or any film in such genre...' the actor told us in an analytical way.

Yesterday, Jeevan met the press for the first time in his career. He said, 'I don't know how to handle the media people at a press meet. And I thought that there was no point in doing a self propaganda. Now also, I'm meeting you to give you a formal introduction about myself. I'm not a person in the urge of signing more and more contracts in the industry. After Thiruttu Payale I have got loads of offers; but none of them have impressed me. I am just wait for the right one to come my way"¦' Jeevan spoke in a cool and a practical tone.

When asked if it was really a noble idea of doing a remake of Naan Avanillai, a K. Balachander make, he replied: 'I don't know whether it is noble or idiotic. But I like the story and the way the film delivers its message. I found no difficulty in adjusting myself in the role of Gemini as I have already earned such an image from Thiruttu Payale. So, naturally I accepted this project when Selva narrated the screenplay. I think negative heroes always get a quick approval from the masses...' he said.

In the film Naan Avanillai, Jeevan appears in 5 different get-ups: a foreign- returned individual, a sanyasi, a painter, a business executive, and a playboy. The climax is the same as in the original version of the film, including the confession of Gemini. The movie will hit the screens on April 20 th.

Jeevan's next movie after Naan Avanillai will be Machakkaaran. In this film also, he will appear in the role of a rough anti- hero.
