Surya,
at
the
cassette
launch
of
Mozhi,
seemed
angered
at
the
attempts
being
made
by
the
cast
and
crew
of
the
film
and
other
guests
to
persuade
Jyothika
to
continue
her
acting
career.
Nobody
expected
Kanimozhi
to
openly
criticized
Surya
in
a
public
hall
accusing
him
of
not
allowing
Jyothika
to
showcase
her
complete
acting
capabilities.
The
film
has
produced
by
actor/producer
Prakash
Raj
under
his
banner
Duet
Movies.
The
film
has
been
directed
by
Raadha
Mohan.
Varamuthu
penned
the
lyrics
for
tunes
composed
by
Vidyadsagar.
Jyothika
had
signed
the
film
just
before
her
marriage
with
actor
Surya.
The
star
couple
immediately
announced
that
Jyo
would
never
act
films
after
marriage.
Despite
that
Jyothika
continued
the
shooting
of
the
movies
that
were
left
incomplete
because
of
her
wedding
with
Surya.
One
is
Pachaikili
Murthucharam.
The
other
one
is
Mozhi.
The
entire
film
has
been
shot
after
her
wedding.
In
this
film,
she
is
acting
the
deaf
and
dumb
girl
who
falls
in
love
with
a
musician,
Prithviraj.
The
shooting
of
the
film
completed
last
week
and
the
audio
launched
in
Sathyam
Complex
on
Sunday
Morning.
Kanimozhi,
the
daughter
of
Chief
Minister
Karunanidhi,
attended
the
event
as
the
Chief
Guest.
When
she
was
invited
to
deliver
her
special
speech,
she
applauded
the
entire
cast
and
crew
of
the
movie.
Then
she
started
to
review
the
film
in
the
podium
which
she
had
already
seen
during
a
special
screening.
The
follwoing
is
an
excerpt
from
her
speech:
'This
is
the
only
genuine
film
I
have
seen
in
recent
times.
Every
scene
has
ben
conceived
with
sense
and
sincerity.
It
is
a
rare
thing
in
Tamil
Cinema
for
a
movie
to
be
shot
in
this
way.
The
dialogues
of
the
film
are
very
powerful
and
have
honoured
women.
It
is
very
rare
in
movies
that
a
writer
given
this
much
importance
to
a
woman.
Vairamuthu
penned
some
excellent
lyrics
for
the
beautiful
tunes
in
the
film
composed
by
Vidhyasagar.
I
think
Vairamuthu
is
the
only
poet
who
keeps
his
poetic
talents
after
getting
engaged
with
movie
lyrics.
Many
good
poets
drowned
in
this
ocean
after
few
years
of
their
entry.
I
found
many
beautiful
and
meaningful
lines
in
the
lyrics.
An
example
of
this
is
'...Poovin
Mozhi
Manama?
Nirama?...
.She
quoted
many
such
lines
from
songs
in
the
film.
What
a
wonderful
thought!
I
was
stunned
with
the
performance
of
Jyothika
in
this
film.
Here
I
would
like
to
share
my
thoughts
about
Jyothika
with
you.
I
came
to
know
that
this
is
the
last
film
of
hers.
I
felt
very
sorry
that
she
has
made
that
decision.
I
got
angry
with
Surya
also.
Actors
like
Jyothika
shouldnt
quit
their
career
like
this.
Jyo,
please
re-consider
your
decision.
It
will
be
healthy
for
her
and
the
entire
industry
also...'
.
Jyothika
was
watching
all
this
emotional
outbreak
along
with
Surya
in
the
4th
row
of
the
theatre.
In
the
beginning
of
Kanimozhi's
speech,
Surya
looked
relaxed.
When
she
criticized
him
for
preventing
Jyothika's
career
in
films
acting
film,
suddenly
a
discomfort
was
evident
on
Surya's
face.
After
Kanimozhi,
Vairamuthu
came
to
deliver
his
-
as
usual
-
lengthy
speech.
In
his
speech,
he
requested
Kanimozhi
to
participate
every
function.
Because
according
to
him,
many
Kollywood
fans
haven't
appreciated
the
lyrics
of
present
day
songs
but
have
paid
attention
only
to
the
faster
upbeat
tracks
only.
He
also
compelled
Jyothika
to
re-consider
her
decision
to
quit
cinema.
Again,
Surya's
face
showed
disconfort.
Then
Prakash
Raj
requested
the
Director
Priyadharshan,
who
introduced
Jyothika,
to
handover
a
memento
as
her
her
farewell
gift
to
cinema.
After
handed
over
the
memento,
Priyadharshan
told
that
he
is
proud
like
a
father
who
has
watched
a
"good
innings" by
Jyothika.
After
this,
Prakash
Raj
directly
pleaded
with
Jyothika
for
the
reconsideration
of
her
decision.
There
were
tears
in
Jyothika's
eyes
and
she
was
very
emotional.
But
Surya
did
not
even
turn
towards
her
and
was
just
watching
the
stage
displaying
embarressment.
So,
the
first
stone
has
thrown
in
to
a
beautiful
and
peaceful
pond!
