Kamala Ammal passes away

Kamala Ganesan, wife of Tamil Cinema legend late Sivaji Ganesan, died at a private hospital in Chennai on Friday after a prolonged illness. She was 68. She is survived by two sons, actor Prabhu and actor-producer Ramkumar and a daughter. She has been in deep grief after the sudden demise of her husband Shevaliyar Shivaji Ganesan for the past 5 years.

Hospital sources said that she died due to pulmonary embolism, Blockage of the pulmonary artery. Family members were at her side when the end came at 10.50 am. Her body is being taken to her Boag Road residence, Annai Illam for public homage.

Actors Rajinikanth and Kamal hassan rushed to the hospital immediately after they heard the news. The entire film personalities of Tamil film industry have assembled in front of Annai Illam to pay their homage to the kind hearted Kamala Ammal. Oneindia.in pays due respect for her loss to the family!
