<i>Kandasami</i> Vikram's only hope

Saami Vikram now signed another Saami i.e. Kandasami. Shreya plays the female lead role opposite Vikram. Susi Ganeshan, the director of Thiruttupayale, will be the director of Kandasami. This film will deal with water problems that ordinary people face. Vikram, one of the salable heroes in Kollywood, hasn't had more films in his hands. After Anniyan, the prolonged project with Shankar, only one film had been released - Maja. But the film was not a commercial hit. Its dismal show upset Vikram and post its release he was "in waiting" for good stories. After a long wait, Vikram signed Mani Ratnam's project Bhima with Director Longsami. The project is delayed due to financial problems. The pooja of the film was conducted performed on last year. To date, not even 25 percent of the film has been shot.

New comers like Vishal, Jayam Ravi have kept up their success rate and keep their "filmograph" high with at least 3 films per year. But for the last 3 years only 2 of Vikrams films have been released. After taking these things into consideration, Vikram now signed 3 films. Kandasami is one among these three.When we met Vikram at Shivaji family wedding funtion, Vikram has accepted all of this. He said, 'No doubt, Anniyan is a milestone in my career. I expect Maja to be a success too. Many things didnt go well in that film. Bhima will hit the screens soon but the producer is facing some problems which is delaying its release. I hope thing will work out and that the film will get released. Now in Kandasami...he is a down to earth person, and an ordinary man with extra ordinary social commitments. Like my previous film Dhool, this one also become a good film'. We also hope the same Kandasami!
