Police Arrests Kannada Prasad

The Chennai Police arrested Pimp Kannada Prasad last night. He is kept in remand in Puzhal prison under judicial custody. The police have decided to take him to their custody for a week for further interrogation.

Police alleges that Prasad has a large network in all the four states of South and has brought hundreds of girls into prostitution. They have got enough records for his close links with film actresses and other Industrialists.

Prasad belongs to Bangalore, Indira Nagar. He came to Chennai in 80s and searched for a chance in Kodambakkam. But he succeeded as a pimp in the industry. In the later years, he got his own mediators in all major cities of the country. In the South, he expanded his network in smaller towns as well. They target beautiful young girls and use various techniques to bring them in the 'mainstream'. He made hundreds of girls and junior artists professional prostitutes in the past 16 years. He maintains close links with the politicians and police officers of all the four states. Prasad arrested in the year 2002 for his illegal activities, was later released within few months. After his jail sojourn, he got involved in the same line with more enthusiasm and got popular female artists also in the 'field'.

Police trapped him on Saturday. Today the police moved papers to take him under their custody. They hope that the court would handover him tomorrow to their custody. Media people and Kollywood are expecting more scoops regarding his nexus with the actresses and VVIPs in the further interrogations.
