Karthika has typhoid!

Karthika, the new heroine of Baala's Naan Kadavul, who impressed the director and the crew by her style and realistic portrayal of begging around Periyakulam, is down with severe illness. After Baala gave her instructions to take complete rest, she was rushed back to Chennai to be hospitalized!

Karthika was later diagnosed as having Typhoid, and has been hospitalized for a week before being discharged. Now the actress is taking complete bed rest at her home.

Meanwhile, Bala and the rest of the unit of Naan Kadavul are trying to complete some portions of the movie with Arya and others. The actress will rejoin the crew next week.

Karthika is the third actress to be hospitalized within a week following Lakshmi Rai and Asin.
