Oru
Naal
Podhuma,
a
film
casting
Madhavan
and
being
directed
by
Prathap
Pothan
has
been
dropped
due
to
various
reasons.
This
was
officially
announced
by
the
director
of
the
film.
As
the
shooting
was
expected
to
commence
in
Canada,
the
crew
had
applied
for
visas.
But
the
embassy
delayed
issuing
of
the
visas
to
the
crew
after
their
long
wait
of
over
2
months.
Meanwhile,
the
2
months'
call
sheet
given
by
Madhavan
also
expired,
and
the
actor
got
busy
with
his
other
projects.
At
present
Madhavan
is
acting
in
2
films
simultaneously,
which
are
titled
as
Leelai
and
Vazhthukkal.
He
signed
up
for
2
more
Tamil
films
after
the
completion
of
his
earlier
projects.
So
he
found
it
difficult
to
allot
fresh
dates
to
Prathap
Pothan.
The
director
also
understood
the
embarrassing
situation
for
the
actor,
and
accepted
his
decision.
Finally,
Madhavan
offered
his
call
sheets
for
mid
November
this
year,
but
the
producer
did
not
show
any
interest.
So,
Prathap
has
decided
to
do
the
film
for
some
other
producers
towards
the
end
of
this
year.
