After
directing
Poi,
veteran
filmmaker
K.Balachander's
next
film
will
be
launched
soon.
This
time
he
will
be
remaking
one
of
his
own
films,
Manmadha
Leelai.
He
will
remake
with
a
modern
touch.
3
decades
ago,
Manmadha
Leelai
started
a
new
trend
in
Kollywood
and
brought
in
to
the
industry
Kamal
Hassan.
The
director
offered
the
male
lead
role
to
Jeeva.
He
passed
up
the
opportunity
offered
to
him
saying
that
it
was
not
his
cup
of
tea.
Now
it
is
real
life
playboy
Simbu
who
accepted
the
offer
with
delight.
After
the
completion
of
the
shooting
of
Kaalai,
Simbu
will
take
up
this
project
with
director
K
Balachander.
After
the
stupendous
success
of
Naan
Avanillai,
every
body
would
like
to
take
care
of
all
aspects
of
classic
films
when
remaking
them.
There
are
already
4
remake
projects
presently
being
shot
for
in
Kollywood
including
Billa
2007.
Manmadha
Leelai
will
be
the
fifth.
