Pa. Vijay: A noble Tamil Poet

Pa. Vijay, a young poet known for his poetic talents in Tamil Cinema as well as literature has come out with his innovative idea called Poetic carnival, which is likely to take place on Kalivanar Arangam on 6th May.

In this occasion Pa Vijay has planned to release 10 books of his own creation, they are:

Aranmani Ragasiyam – Historical Novel published as a series in Nakkeeran
Adutha Agni Pravasam – Poetry
Kakkitha Marangal – Poetry
Kaithattal Ganabhagam – Poetry
Pengal Pandigai – Poetry
Kadhal@Kadhali.com – Poetry
Icekati Azhagiri – Poetry
Kadhavul Varar Jagridai – Poetry
Erandaduku Agayam – Poetry
Eru Navalgal.

The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Dr.M Karunanidhi will release the books, and poets Vaali, Abdul Rehman&Mu Mehta will receive the same. Besides, Director K. Baghiyaraj, Professor Solomon Papaiya, Actor Vivek and S. Raja will give keynote address.

The main purpose behind this Carnival is to highlight the golden jubilee celebrations of M. Karunanithi's entry in the Assembly. The function will start with a sound and light program titled 'Kalaignar Ennum Moochukaatru.' There are 5 songs composed for the function with lyrics of 5 poets and rendered by 5 singers. Leading musician D. Imman has composed the music for all the songs. As the music plays, artist Chezhian will draw a picture of M.Karunanidhi based on the concepts of the lyrics.

Besides, Pa. Vijay will donate 5, 00,000 Rupees to establish a library and will make announcement for educational assistance to 50 poor children in his native village Uthukottai.

Pa. Vijay had already released 10 poetry books through the hands of Karunanithi Last year at Kamarajar Arangam. In that function only Karunanithi gave the title as 'Vithaga Kavignar' to this young poet.

One should really appreciate the poet's involvement for a noble cause!
