Some faces in Tamil Cinema are determined to find a place in world cinema. Ameer, Cheran and Thankar Bachan are the foremost of the lot. Some consider the Cannes Film Festival as bigger than the Oscars. To have their films screened at this festival and to win awards is a cherished dream for many and one such is Thankar Bachan. He has decided to use his film Pallikkoodam as the trump card. He is busy trying to send his film to the Cannes Film Festival.
Featuring Narain, Sneha, Seeman, Meenal and Thankar, the dubbing for the film is almost complete. After some other minor finishing touches, the film will be complete. It has to reach Cannes by coming 16th to be eligible for consideration. Just like Ram won Jeeva the best actor award at the Cypress Film Festival, Thankar hopes his Pallikkoodam also creates a stir. What if his dream does not get realized? The Cannes film authorities could get the same wordy archana that those actresses who refused to act with Thankar did!
