Prathap Pothan strikes again

Prathap Pothan, known for his super hits like Meendum Oru Kathal Kathai, Vetri Vizha and Seevalaperi Pandi, strikes again with a film venture along with his friend K.Rajeshwar. This film is titled as Oru Naal Podhuma. Madhavan will play the lead role. Earlier, Prathap had titled this project as Nee Indri. But his assistants opined that this title sounds too literary.

Prathap is introducing a new face as the heroine of this movie. She is a Tamil girl who has completed studies in the U.S. Her real name is Rukmani and Prathap decides not intend to change it for the time being. But the market forces may force him to make changes, a trend that we have been witnessing for decades. Though Trisha had earlier agreed to act opposite Madhavan, another commitment of hers with Vishal has forced her to withdraw her dates.

Prathap has decided to start the shooting with a simple pooja at AVM on April 14th, the Tamil New Year.
