Pyramid Saimira Theatres Limited has purchased the world rights of Vijay's Azhagiya Tamil Magan (ATM), for a record price. Our Kollywood sources say that the company has clinched the rights for the film for an amount of Rs.25 crores, including the theatrical rights for Tamil Nadu!!

When this correspondent contacted the PRO of the company to confirm the amount, he refused to divulge anything about the financial details. However, he confirmed that the company has purchased the sole rights for the film. If rumours prove to be correct, it is the highest ever price given for a Vijay film.

Starring Vijay, Shreya, and Namitha, the film is scripted and directed by Bharathan, an assistant of Dharani. A.R.Rahman has scored the music for this film, and this is actor Vijay's second stint after an unsuccessful Udaya.

Bharathan is planning to complete the shoot of ATM by the first week of September, and the film is expected to be released this Diwali.
