have
officially
announced
the
release
date
of
Shivaji.
The
mega
film
will
hit
screens
the
world
over
on
the
31st
of
May.
The
new
release
date
has
been
announced
by
AVM
Productions
today
via
a
press
release.
Earlier,
the
film
was
slated
for
release
on
April
14th,
the
Tamil
New
Year
eve,
but
the
post-
production
work
and
AR
Rahman's
background
score
couldn't
be
completed
in
time.
For
these
reasons,
the
production
house
postponed
the
release
without
any
information
about
the
new
release
date
of
the
film.
Now
all
post
production
work
has
been
completed
and
the
first
copy
of
the
film
ready
for
release
with
AVM.
The
grand
premiere
of
the
film,
on
behalf
of
the
films
director
Shankar,
will
take
place
at
Sathyam
complex
today.
For
Superstar
Rajini,
this
film
is
his
100th
in
Tamil.
So
far
he
has
acted
in
173
movies
in
5
Indian
languages
and
in
one
movie
in
English.
The
auditoriums,
which
will
host
the
first
shows
of
the
super
stars
film,
are
being
readied
for
a
grand
opening.
The
cooperation
of
local
Rajinikanth
fan
clubs
is
being
sought
to
make
the
event
a
grand
one.
