Raju Sundaram directs Ajith-Shreya

Choreographer Raju Sundaram will direct Ajith – Shreya in his debut film being produced by Ayngaran International.

The shooting of the film will start in December, once Ajith's Billa is completed and is released for Diwali. It is the debut film for the producer K.Karunamoorthy, the London based NRI and chairman of Ayngaran International, who has recently tied up with Eros entertainment'. Karunamoorthy has, for years, been the leading overseas Tamil films distributor, including the blockbuster Rajini starrer Shivaji.

Raju Sundaram, who was earlier announced as the director for Dhanush starrer film 'Parattai Engira Azhagu Sundaram', opted out due to rifts with the producer. Raju said, "This step in the best interests of both me and Ajith!"

For Shriya, it is her first film with Ajith and she is in extremely happy to be continuously getting roles with superstars like Rajini and Vijay. As per the storyline, the film will be a typical Ajith formula film with the right mix of all the ingredients associated with his films. The producer is planning to release the film in May 2008 as a summer treat to the audiences!
