Nowadays it has become a trend among the film stars to avoid the media at their private functions. Simran, Laila, Jyothika and many more have proved so. But Ravali is an extreme example among these actresses. One can remember what happened in the Surya-Jyothika marriage. They called a press meet and personally distributed invitations to all. Then finally Sivakumar told the press people not to attend the function. It was Simran who openly declared that there would no place for a journalist at her marriage function. Laila informed the press about her marriage only after a week. The one actor who turned his marriage press meet into a real mockery is Arun Kumar, the fickle-minded star and the son of Vijayakumar. One day he invited all the film journalists at Hotel Vasantha Bhavan at Vadapalani and strictly told them not to attend his marriage function, citing security concerns. However, Ravali stands out as an actress who is different from all of them.
Ravali, a former seductive actress, was nicknamed as 'Seemai Pasu' by her fans during her peak days in the industry. This title was given to her by actor - director Parthiban at the pooja of his unreleased film Kangeyam Kaalai. After this film, Ravali insisted upon the journalists to openly mention her name with that title whenever they wrote about her. But the unlucky Tamil fans didn't have the chance to watch that movie because Parthiban dropped that project after 7 days of its shooting. Parthiban, who was quite worried about missing the opportunity of performing with this sex bomb, was able to fulfil his long-awaited 'wish' in the film Abhimanyu.
After the film offers dried up for Ravali, she shifted her camp to the Telugu Film tinsel town and acted in some films for a while. After a few films, she lost her charm with the Telugu audiences as well, as they felt there was nothing new in her acting. Similarly, she could manage to stay in the Kannada film world only for a short while. Finally she realized that it was the best time for her to retire and get married. According to Ravali, her parents only have chosen her would-be groom. He is Neeli Krishnan, an Electronics Engineer by profession. The marriage function will be held at Hyderabad on April 9 th. Yesterday Ravali visited Chennai, and invited all her friends, film personalities and in particular, the press people to attend her marriage function.
