Sarath plays as Bond!

1977, the much hyped project of Sarath Kumar has been launched on Friday at Tuticorin, South Tamil Nadu. Sarath Kumar plays in 6 different get ups for the first time including the role of James Bond in 1977.

Talking to media persons, Sarath told: "Many have thought that I would be bounded with my political image. To break this, I would like to play in variety of roles in my future projects. 1977 is one of my dream projects. I have been planning for long to appear in James Bond getup. Now 1977 fulfill my dream and one of my get ups in this film is like James Bond 007. This character is not created or imposed just because of my wish. The story is like that and it need such a get up. According to the story, there was an incident happened in 1977 but it was registered wrongly in the history and later the hero finds the truth and rewrite the history."

The film produced by RSK Films (Sarath's own film company) and is directed by debutant G.N.Dinesh Kumar. Namitha plays as the lead lady of Sarath for the fourth time. Farsana plays the second fiddle. Jayasudha and Vivek are also in the cast. 1977 will be released in Tamil Nadu for New Year!
