Actor Sarath Kumar's new film Nam Naadu has been launched formally in Chennai. The film will be directed by Suresh and produced by S. Ramesh Babu, the producer of Pokkiri. For the hero of the film Sarath Kumar, it is very crucial film since he is going to use this film to gauge the pulse of his fans and supporters before he launches his own political party.

The title of the film is borrowed from the legendary MGR's super hit movie. The actor believes that the title will work magic for him too. The movie is a remake of Malayalam hit Lion. The actor and director have worked hard to add to the film Tamil sensibilities, which the Tamil film audience can relate too.

It needled to say that the punch dialogues and political hot mix will be present in a big way in Nam Naadu. It was rumoured that Tamanna is playing the female lead role. She was even present at the pooja. But she had to opt out of the film as the dates that she gave clashed with the shooting of her other film with Balaji Shakthivel.

Now Karthika, a Malayalam actress, will replace Tamanna. She is also simultaneously shooting for her debut Tamil film Pulan Visaranai-2 with actor Prashant.
