Sathyaraj
is
one
of
those
very
few
down
to
earth
film
personalities
who
always
entertains
the
audience
with
his
humour
and
witty
one
liners
wherever
he
appears.
He
once
again
proved
his
comical
strength,
when
he
shared
the
podium
along
with
Bollywood
star
Vivek
Oberoi
at
the
audio
launch
of
Kannamoochi
Enada.
The
movie,
produced
by
Radaan
Media
and
UTV,
features
Sathyaraj,
Radhika,
Sri
Priya,
Prithviraj
and
Sandhya
playing
the
lead
roles.
Music
is
by
Yuvan
Shankar
Raja
and
V.
Priya
has
directed
the
film.
This
is
her
second
attempt
after
the
moderately
hit
film
Kanda
Naal
Muthal.
The
first
copy
of
the
audio
was
released
by
Vivek
Oberoi,
and
was
received
by
actor
Surya.
Speaking
on
the
occasion,
Vivek
Oberoi
expressed
his
admiration
for
south
Indian
film
technicians.
He
heaped
laurels
on
the
film
personalities
of
south
India
and
said
that
he
admired
their
dedication
towards
their
work.
On
his
part,
Sathyaraj,
said,
"I
am
delighted
to
be
a
part
of
such
an
interesting
film,
and
the
movie
has
come
out
good.
It
has
been
30
years
since
I
came
to
the
industry.
I
have
been
happy
till
now
without
any
regrets
and
enjoy
pursuing
my
acting
career.
Seeing
everyone
speak
at
this
function
in
English,
I
think
that
I
should
also
have
learnt
some
English.
With
a
lot
of
multinational
companies
and
corporate
firms
entering
film
production,
the
time
has
come
for
me
to
learn
English".
On
the
'on
screen
chemistry'
with
co-stars,
Sathyaraj
said,
"I'm
still
at
loss
to
find
the
meaning
of
the
term
'on
screen
chemistry'
often
used
by
the
industry
people.
Recently,
director
Shankar
approached
me
to
act
in
Shivaji
as
a
villain
against
the
superstar.
That
time
Shankar
said
that
the
chemistry
worked
out
well
between
Rajini
sir
and
me.
I
really
didn't
understand
what
he
meant,
but
generally
nodded
my
head.
Similarly,
Priya
narrated
to
me
the
story
of
Kannamoochi
Enada,
and
said
my
on
screen
chemistry
with
Prithviraj
will
be
good.
Immediately,
I
contacted
my
learned
friend
Manobala
to
explain
to
me
the
meaning
of
this
so-called
chemistry.
He
replied
that
means
nothing
except
a
good
understanding
between
the
co-stars,
quoting
MGR-Saroja
Devi
and
Shivaji-Padmini
duos
as
examples.
I
was
shocked
and
wondered
how
that
kind
of
chemistry
works
out
between
Prithviraj
and
me!"
He
further
said:
"Sri
Priya
told
me
that
I
will
definitely
be
awarded
for
my
performance
in
Periyar.
But
I'm
disclosing
here
that
I
have
already
got
an
award,
which
is
more
precious
than
any
other
award
in
the
world.
It
is
the
ring
of
Periyar
E.V.Ramswamy
gifted
to
me
on
the
100th
day
celebration
of
the
film.
It
is
said
that
Rajinikanth
is
the
highest
paid
actor
in
India,
and
Tom
Cruise
is
the
highest
paid
actor
in
the
world.
After
receiving
Periyar's
ring,
I
consider
myself
to
be
higher
paid
than
both
of
them."
Earlier,
Radhika
welcomed
the
gathering
which
included
prominent
film
personalities
like
Sarath
Kumar,
Rama
Narayanan
and
Abhirami
Ramanathan,
among
others.
