At
last
our
superstar
Rajinikanth
has
done
the
impossible.
His
magnum
opus
Shivaji-The
Boss
has
become
the
first
Tamil
film
ever
to
find
a
place
in
the
UK
top
10.
It
is
at
9th
position
in
the
list.
In
Canada,
it
is
No.2
with
9.7
marks
out
of
10.
The
overseas
distributor
of
the
film
Ayngaran
International
has
given
some
amazing
data
of
the
film's
business
in
UK.
In
its
opening
weekend,
it
collected
£
167,607
(about
Rs.1.37
crores)
from
12
screens.
According
to
the
distributor,
it
is
the
best
opening
ever
for
an
Indian
film
in
Britain.
Comparing
with
other
biggies
like
Fantastic
Four,
Ocean's
Thirteen
and
Pirates
of
the
Caribbean,
Shivaji
commands
a
big
lead
in
the
weekend.
The
screen
average
of
Shivaji
is
Rs.11,45,314
(In
4
days)
against
the
Hollywood
magnum
opus
Fantastic
Four's
Rs.6,33,210!
K.
Karunamoorthy
of
Ayngaran
International
who
is
distributing
the
film
in
UK
and
other
European
Countries
said,
"Shivaji
has
set
a
new
high
in
all
these
countries.
It
is
because
of
superstar
Rajini's
charisma.
He
has
opened
new
markets
for
Tamil
films
overseas.
In
Germany,
the
film
made
tremendous
opening,
making
us
to
continue
the
show
till
next
weekend."
