Shivaji's grand son to wed on 26th

Vikram, grandson of Chevalier Shivaji Ganesan and son of Actor Prabhu, weds Lakhsmi Ujjaini on February 26th. It is an arranged inter-cast marriage. The bride is the only daughter of Dr. M.S.Mathivanan, Chairman of S.S.M. Engineering College and Tan India ltd. The marriage will be held at Rani Meyyammai Hall at Egmore on February 26th morning 6 am, followed by a reception on the same day afternoon at the same venue.

Prabhu has already started giving invitations to the VVIPs including The President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, The President of Indian National Congress Mrs. Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Cheif Minister of Tamil Nadu M.Karunanidhi and General Secretary of AIADMK Selvi Jayalalitha in person. The President Abdul Kalam and Sonia Gandhi have already sent their greetings to the bride and groom. Yesterday, Prabhu showed the letters from the same to the media.

Prabhu told the media, "It is an important and happy event to be held in Shivaji's Family after his demise. We are printing Shivaji's portrait on the Invitation card. Behind this portrait, there is an interesting story. Usha Mangeshkar, a very close friend of my family and sister of the legend Latha Mangeshkar has painted this portrait. Lathaji framed this portrait in a bigger size and hung it in her drawing hall. We requested her to give that particular painting for this invitation. I have invited all the leaders and friends who were associated with Shivaji to this marriage."

Prabhu also hinted that there is a possibility of the presence of the Chief Minister M.Karunanidhi at this Marriage. Former Chief Minister Jayalalitha will attend the reception.
