Shobhana staging drama for a cause

National award winning actress and renown classical dancer Shobhana will stage a dance drama in English on 30th June at the Music Academy, Chennai.

It will be a fund raising programme for the improvement of HIV infected Children of Sex workers, to be organized by Society for Development, Research and Training-SFDRT. Legendary Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah and Tamil actress Suhasni has lent their voices for the 90 minute episode.

Yesterday, Shobhana met the scribes and briefed about the show and the noble purpose behind the it. The actress has titled the drama as Maya Ravana. She is of the opinion that everybody should contribute in helping people get rid of myths, social stigma and blind believes in the disease.
