'Behind every successful man there is a woman' goes a saying. It looks like filmdom is men's world, with filmmakers giving more importance to heroes. However, one can't underestimate the role of a heroine in the success of a film. In fact, there is always a woman behind the success of every film, and Shreya Saran happens to be the woman in Rajinikanth's Shivaji - The Boss.
Well, everybody has been talking about superstar Rajinikanth since the announcement of his magnum opus Shivaji two years ago till date but nothing much has been said about his heroine Shreya. People are singing Rajini's praises though the film is already into the third week of its release. But it is sad that heroine Shreya has not been given enough recognition. She had done all she could to make the film a success. She did not sign any film till Shivaji was completed, as director Shankar was particular about it. She pumped in lots of glamour to make the film more spicy and she did complimented Rajini well. In other words, she had done her role to the 'T'.
So, there is no denying that she has contributed to the success of the film. And if there is one woman behind the success of Shivaji, it has to be Shreya. Of course, her hard work has brought about great dividend. Today, she is the hottest heroine down south and making waves in Bollywood too.
The actress is also thrilled at the success of her Hindi film Awarapan, which has 'serial kisser' Emraan Hashmi in the lead. "I accepted Awarapan because I was convinced of its strong storyline, the director and the reputed production house. They have a history of making sensitive films that have become hits. Their female characters are well etched. After the success of my films in the South, I needed a film that could parallel my position there. I think I have made the right decision", said the actress.
Well, everybody wants a piece of this beauty now. She is going to act opposite Bobby Deol in director Sangeeth Sivan's Ek -The Power Of One. In Tamil, she has Azhagiya Tamil Magan opposite Vijay and Kandaswamy with Vikram. Besides these films, she is also said to have signed two more Tamil projects.
